hi!

common tests arent as bad as i thought they would be (not saying that they're good, either). although i dont mind not having cca. that, at least, is nice. supposd 2 go 2 iris' house 2dae 2 celebrate end of COMMON TEST WAR!!! (kudos 2 ash for thinking of dat phrase) but my mom said i cant go cos i hav 2 coach my bro on chinese. oh well, there's always nxt time. i stil hav D&T CT tmr, will memorize e stupid "workshop safety" thingy later, maybe i'll do some orthographic drawing & isometric drawing practices.

hmm, let me recount how all e other common tests have been so far...

first was higher chinese on tues. was easier than expected, but i'm stil worried abt my results (duh). i expect anything higher than 54% out of 100. i managed 2 remember all e 词语. not surprising, since i made up 2 stories so dat i'd remember. ash knows 1 of them. i also did a lot of assessment for 综合填空. dont reali think it helped though.

during e 1 hr long recess break, i went 2 e library wiv sneha, heard her talk abt dis bk with angels, and some sort of gate and guardian. sounds quite interesting, maybe i'll get arnd 2 reading it soon. also read a bit of meg cabot's "size 12 is not fat" in e library.

went back 2 class for english CT. its just 1 comprehension. expecting (ok, ok, hoping) to get B3 and above. i think i screwed up some of e vocab qns, which is stupid bcos i probably knew e answers. oh well.

science ytd. it was ok, i expect to get a high A1, cos science is my best subject. if i screw up for science, i'm going 2 die (since its supposd 2 pull up all my other subjects).

went 2 e 2nd level of e library wiv sneha dodo (pet name) for recess and memorized e lit TEAQ dat i made on Macbeth and Lady M. e librarian kept shushing evry1 bcos we were all reciting stuff, lol.

had lit CT aft recess, i wrote intro, conclusion, & 6 TEAQs: 1 on e witches, 1 on Lady M, & 4 on Macbeth. e qn was abt explaining why e witches, Lady M & Macbeth were responsible for Macbeth's decision to murder Duncan. quite happy wiv my conclusion. managed to finish e paper but not enough time to check through e whole essay. praying to pass, enough said. (my lit is even worse than my chinese)

math today. i didn manage to study trigonometry, but it's ok cos all e qns were quite basic. i am still pissed off wiv myself bcos i didn finish e paper. i was doing e 2nd last qn, den i knew i was short of time & i wasnt quite sure how 2 work it out, so i went ahead 2 do e last qn. den i went back 2 try e 2nd last qn, realized i knew how 2 do it, den not enuf time 2 finish writing -.- expect to get an A1.

recess was spent at e 2nd floor of e library wiv sneha again. studied geog 2geder (we recited stuff 2 each other) and i realized dat e acronyms i made were hilarious. get this: Selective Bums Plant and Harvest Fools. which stands for Selecting a plot of land in the forest, felling the trees and Burning them, Planting the crops, Harvesting said crops, and leaving the land to Fallow. dat was e process of shifting cultivation. e nxt acronym is RRRC: Reduce, Reuse, & Recycle, Clarice, which are Railways, Rivers, Roads & Canals - the transportation routes that linear settlements are formed around. another one is PoST We We Harvest We, which stands for Preparing the land by ploughing it, Sowing the seeds in a nursery, Transplanting the seedlings to the field, We control the water (i.e. water control) by irrigation and drainage, Weeding the field, Harvesting the crops, Winnowing (We-nowing) and threshing. those r e stages in wet rice cultivation. guess wat? none of those came out -.- haha, but i had fun wiv e acronyms. sneha dodo and i kept going thru each of e chapters, den e librarian got so pissed wiv all e noise evry1 on e 2nd level was making dat she actuali walked up and sarita-shushed us, i.e. shhhhhh-ed reali loudly. hahahahaha :D

went back 2 class for geog CT, was quite ok but i think i got 1 qn wrong. expecting an A1 as well. (maybe my expectations are too high? well, sth has got to be used 2 balance out my higher chinese & lit, not to mention last semester's disastrous art)

later i wil revise D&T, coach my bro on chinese (he has prelims tomorrow), blog on e free warriors blog (my bible study grp aka buzz grp's blog), do math assessment, & if i hav time, i shall continue reading "size 12 is not fat". bye!
